Yesterday, 29/01/2018, the "Israeli Ministry of Health", together with the "Israeli Cancer Association" hosted a press conference in which they gave a glimpse over the data of the Israeli Cancer registry in 2014. They claimed that the number of brain tumors did not increase in the last two decades, and they applied or suggested that this prove that cell phone use do not cause cancer.

I myself think that the assumption by the Israeli Ministry of Health and the Israeli Cancer Association is both wrong, misleading  and Irresponsible.

A. It is not a study, just data from the Israeli cancer registrator up to 2014, that was shared with comments and opinions.
B. When looking at the link between cancer and cell phone use, one must look at the number of new cancers per year for the type of cancer cellphone is considered responsible or a promoter (glioma, acoustic aroma, salivary gland and thyroid gland). The data from the registry looks on all brain cancers together.
C.  In addition when I look at the data from the registry (I have access to 1980-2013 and not to 2014) I see that the base level over which the numbers changes every year, has changed and is now higher than before.
Since 2000 the numbers are steady, but between 1980 and 2000 there is a slow increase.

Smartphones are to be allowed back in Israeli schools

PhD Offer Rimon, head of the Technology administration in the Israeli ministry of Education, said that soon, the ban on smart phones' use in schools will be removed. This was reported today in the daily newspaper of "Yediot Hachronot", the headlines said "The smartphone enter the class".
In Israel, for the past few years, there was a partial bann on the use of smartphones in schools. While deploying WIFI and pushing wireless tablets, the ministry of education argued that it is protecting the kids by banning cell phones (as if the radiation of cellphones and WIFI devices is not the same). No, the gate is totally open and smartphones are back to class (they never left as the ban was never fully implemented).
This change in official policy comes in contrary and after France has banned the use of cellphones and smart phones in schools, just few weeks ago.
The use of Smartphones and WIFI devices in class might look like a shiny improvement in the ability to teach, but in the long run, when the health effect of RF radiation exposure will cause students and teachers headaches and other health problems, and when the effect of screen time will be clear, it will be known to be a very big mistake. We and our children will pay the price while the people who pushed it in will get the next job title!

The main argue is that there is not "good evidence" to health effect from cellphone and WIFI devices, so I guess there is no need to warn the public.

Define "good science" or "good evidence" , I guess their definition of "good evidence" (which they say does not exist) is that it is "good" only if it comply with their false theory that EMF have not health effect.

The fact that RF (Radio Frequency ) can't break an electron from the atom directly does not mean it can not cause biological changes and damage in other ways.

This is just like what we saw in the past with Tobacco, asbestos and other agents. The industry is trying to continue the selling a production of services and products that can pose a health risk.

People and scientist that believe that there is no health effect to RF exposure are not only wrong but they serve the industry's' interest and not the public and should recheck their science.

The only investigation that should be done is of the relations of those that file the complains, and of the NHS and WHO and ICNIRP with industry.

Electromagnetic Hyper Sensitivity is real and cause by exposure to EMF. people tha suffer from it are the first to react. As time passes and exposure increases, more and more people will suffer. It starts with pain in the head when talking on the cellphone and get worse with time to a point in which every exposure, to even very low level, cause pain.

In some of the studies done on EHS, the researches wrongly exposed the subjects to EMF radiation when there should have been none. Then when the subjects (not only EHS people) reacted to the exposure, the researches wrongly concluded that it was not real and cause by fear of from the phone.

Israeli supreme court sitting on "wireless access devices" installation by the cell phone companies

In the last 10 years, cellphone companies are installing cell phone antennas, which are inserted into small boxes, called "wireless access devices" while using a breach in the law.
This way the municipal authorities and citizens can't object to the installation in building approval committees. For the cellphone companies it is a quick, easy and cheap way to install a cellphone mast on buildings in side neighborhoods. For the citizens this is a total nightmare as they getup in the morning finding our that a cellphone antenna was installed few meters from their windows. Over the year cellphone companies installed most of their antennas using this breach. Since 2012 only the 2 new companies are allowed to do so.

The issue has been submitted to the supreme court in 2008, by several plaintiff and have been conducting since. Over the year the use of the beach was restricted so only the "new" cellphone companies would be able to install up to 40% of their antennas using the breach.

This week there was an additional court sitting that took more than 4 hours. During the court sitting all the sides were heard and the court tried to get to the button of the issue cover most, if not all, sides , aspect, history and side effects.
Attorney Michael Bach, representing (Pro Bono) the "Forum for sane cellular" presented his claims to the court.

The court asked the sides to achieve a compromised agreement in the following 120 days, based on a compromised proposal from 2010 that will allow all companies to use the breach to install 5% of their antennas and to change the location and position of antennas in existing setups.
The sides can submit a reply in 30 days.

In a personal note- it seems that the court respects the needs and interest of the cellphone companies more then it respects the rights and suffering of citizens.

4G (LTE) cellphone network was launched in ISRAEL

This week the ministry of communication allowed the cellphone companies to use a narrow bend of frequencies they already own in order to lunch and operate 4G preliminary network.
Companies that have no spear band will be allocated with a 5M band.
The use of these frequencies will be allowed until the companies will buy new frequency bands for their 4G network.
Orange, which already deployed a partial 4G network, turned its' network ON and is now allowing it's costumers to use it. 
The full deployment is expected after the biding procedure for the frequencies will end.

In Herzeliya, the city I live in, Orange deployed an experimental 4G network in the last few month. Every time I went to the downtown I felt pain around my neck and Thyroid glance.
From what I read, In countries that already deployed 4G, EHS people are suffering more than before.

Anti cellphone Antenna rallies in Rishon Lezion, Israel

The rally took place on Sunday (06/04/2014) near the shopping center where the antennas are installed on, and Yesterfay, Monday (07/04/2014) near the Rishon Lezion town hall building.
The parents are protesting for the complete removal of the antennas. The antennas are installed on top of the shopping center building, 25-50 meters away from the Negba elementary school where about 70 kids developed headaches, stomachaches and skin rashes. Most of the kids with the symptoms learned in the classrooms facing the antennas(north side).

The protest against the antenna started a year ago and was relaunched when the parents understood that about 70 of their kids suffer from similar symptoms.
In the school itself WIFI is installed and there is no band on the operation of cellphones and wireless devices. It is our assumption that the exposure of the kids to the radiation from antennas, on top to their exposure to the radiation from the WIFI system and the cellphones in the classes, drove the kids to develop symptoms over such a short time (about a year).
According to the parents, so far the WIFI was turned off and the students are asked to turn off their cellphones when in the classes.

The parents went on strike (not sending the kids to school) a month ago which led to the closing of the WIFI and removing the kids from the north classrooms facing the antenna.
The municipality of Rishon L'tzion has, for the past year, been in unsuccessful deliberations with a cell phone company to remove their antenna. After the first strike the parents were promised that the antennas will be removed within a month. A Few days ago the antennas where still transmitting and the parents when on a strike a second time. Now the antennas are currently not working, but they can be turned on in a meter of an hour or two. The parents continue their struggle demanding to remove the antennas completely .

Multi Frequency and multi sources - the real world of RF

Multi frequency - a state in which a RF signal is compose of several RF small signal, or a case in which in the AIR there are several RF signals.

Multi sources - a state in which in a surrounding there are several RF emitting devices which each and every one of them transmit different, or same, one, or many RF signals.

Please note -the problem shown in this clip is not unique to the CORNET meters. Most meters have the some issue. The only way to measure RF radiation correctly is using a spectrum analyzer (a good, fast one cost a lot!), finding every signal and analyzing it one by one. The CORNET meters are great for their price. 
I made this video so activist and people will know that when they measure RF with the CORNET or other DETECTORS, or when a government official or a professional tester measure RF with his meter, it is never the full picture. 

In the real world, in most cases when we measure RF radiation, we have more than one RF signal that is originated from more then one source. Sources like mobile phone antennas, WIFI router or a 3G mobile phone emits multi frequency signals. Measuring the radiation from these sources with a simple RF meter (professional or home use) which is not a spectrum analyzer will show only part of the picture. Simple meters can also detect the radiation emitted from the sources, show when it is ON of OFF, and show if there is more or less radiation in one point of time or between different locations.

It is not that I think we should not use simple RF meters. on the contrary, simple RF meters is the only effortable way we can see the radiation before it makes us sick. But when official bodies try to show how low the RF radiation is by using an RF detector (simple meter that show only accumulated calculated number) against a WIFI router or a cell phone antenna, this is wrong.

The way to analyze the RF radiation before assessing it's health risks, from most of today sources, is to use a fast spectrum analyzer and count the number of signals, their frequency (different frequency does different damage to different people), their MAX, MIN, AVARAGE amplitude (over long time, not just 6 minutes) and the type of signal (Digital, analog, GSM, UMTS, Spectrum speed, frequency hoping and more).

In most countries today the official bodies that are responsible on the regulation of RF radiation, not only use the high non protective ICNIRP guide lines, but also uses simple RF meters.

In every country in the world when analyzing RF radiation from the electronic perspective, they use very fast spectrum analyzer and even very low RF single are considered as a disturbance that needs to be shielded.

Why electronic equipment is treated better than real people?

In the following video, I use the excellent CORNET ED85 RF meter  to measure RF radiation from 2 identical DECT cordless phones. The phones transmit in different channels, which means different frequency (very close to one another). After it is power up the DECT phone scan the 2.4 frequency span that is used by DECT standard and select an unoccupied channel. The ED85 show this when soon after the second DECT phone is powered up the levels goes up from ~60 to ~90 for a brief second (when both phone transmits in the same channel for a second) and then goes down again to ~60 mW/m2.
If I would have a spectrum analyzer, we would have seen that there are 2 different signals right next to each other. The human body is effected by both, while the meter shows the same level as if only one was present.

WIFI radiation
In the next video (Hebrew audio with English Subtitles) I show the same thing, this time with several laptops and a WIFI router. In this video I use both CORNET ED75 RF meter and the CORNET ED15 a simple WIFI analyzer. When all the RF sources are transmitting you can see on the ED15 that all the WIFI span is busy, while the levels on the RF meter remains very low.

Israeli government share their views on 4G cellular network deployment for public review

2 weeks ago the ministries of communication, health and environment protection publish their views about the deployment of 4G cellular network in ISRAEL. Their documents where published on the Israeli government sharing website and are open for public feedback. Feedback should be sent to  schubertn@moc.gov.il by end of working day, 15/06/2012. In a nut shell, the ministry of communication praise the deployment of 4G as the saver of men kind and as a corner stone in Israel economy and education. The ministry of environment protection say that wireless traffic will increase 300 times, but radiaion levels will be kept "noral", "under the standard" and in so called "safe levels" since every house, building and office will install a 20mW femtocell ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femtocell ) and the avarage environmental exposure level will be "only" 5uW/cm2 (The estimations of the ministry of environment protection are based on what I think are very optimistic assumptions) . The health ministry say that the estimations of the ministry of environment protection are based on very optimistic assumptions. The health ministry say they can't estimate the number of deaths or the health effect of a 4G network over the Israeli population (and by that give up their responsibility on the meter). In his review, the health ministry does not acknowledge any biological effect of RF radiation nor does it acknowledge EHS.

The bottom line is that 4G is going to be deployed with tacking into considuration the "percutionary principle" which is an empty slogan that is used in order to create a show that things are done very carefully while considering all costs and risk, when it is not.

A letter to Dr. Brundtland From an EHS Who Gets Injured By Her Cell Phone Use

I read Prof. Havas’s account of your presentation in Waterloo. I was astounded to discover that you, of all people, are using a cell phone, even after declaring that you suffer from EHS. Prof. Hava’s article ends in a quotation by Gandhi, however, considering your cell phone use, another Gandhi quotation came to mind, one which apparently you don’t exercise, “Be The Change You Want To See In The World”.

Recently, Mike Repacholi idiotically claimed that your declaration regarding your adverse health effects from cell phones caused millions’s to imagine migraines. I did not start to ‘imagine’ my EHS headaches and other life threatening symptoms because of your statement. When I got EHS I was unaware of your situation. But when I did hear about it, I could not understand how it could be that you would take no action to help people like me, or actually like us, although people begged you to do so.

But not only you are not helping us, you are actually harming us. Despite being one of the only people with EHS who is in a position to help, you of all people, stood in Waterloo and legitimized cell phone use by using it yourself in the middle of your speech. And worse, your use of cell phone wherever you go causes pain and harm to people like us. Your actions prevent people like us from being able to go anywhere. Your cell phone use requires antennas everywhere and as a result people like us cannot live, work, or move about. We can’t even go to a doctor or a hospital. We can’t even go to court to demand basic human rights, including the right to life and health that are continuously being assaulted. Because of your cell phone use, and because of your silence and inaction, millions are losing their lives, I am one of them!

Let me tell you what a blackberry specifically like the one you carry, does to me from 10 meters away. It causes me heart palpitations, my eyes close down and the area in my brain near the forehead feels as if someone is crushing it. You explained in reply to Prof. Havas’s question, that you put your cell phone away from your brain and use a speaker to suggest that this is ‘smart use’. There is no such thing since your cell phone harms other parts of the body as well and worse, it harms everyone around you especially those with EHS, just like second hand smoke. Your response was ridiculous and ignorant. The only conclusion I can arrive at from your response and actions is that cognitive dissonance seems to be a strong force in your work.

I am sure you are trying to do important work as part of the ‘Elders’, but frankly, I cannot see any greater humanitarian crisis that needs attending, as helping the largest group of refugees in the world, the people with EHS, especially since they have nowhere to go. I do not know of any other current humanitarian crisis that affects between 3-8% of the world. I do not know of any other group that everyone is so determined to ignore its existence including governments, the media and even ‘humanitarian’ organizations like the WHO… This criminal and intentional disregard is causing EHS sufferers to be tortured physically and mentally every minute of every day. What cruel hand is at work, falsely claiming these people are ‘crazy’? It is all because the existence of EHS is inconvenient to the rest of the world.

If the “Elders’ of this world are acting the way you do, then that explains why this world is in such a state. I may be rude, but I am never polite when it comes to people being oblivious to other people’s suffering, especially those who are in a position to help, but don’t. I did learn the lesson of what happened to my family in the holocaust because of inaction and obliviousness. While I was always quite direct, since I got this condition I am even more frank about my thoughts; I guess that complicated health problems and so much evil disregard around you, can make you bluntly honest. I know that many people share my thoughts, but would not dare saying these things especially in such bluntness considering your power and influence. But I, Dr. Brundtland, always preferred to be right rather than smart and I have nothing to lose, because of EHS I already lost everything there is to lose.

I will quote another elder, Einstein, whom I always found extremely perceptive regarding human nature. He said: “The world is a dangerous place not because of those who do harm, but because of those who look at it without doing anything”. Because you are using a cell phone even though you know the harm it causes to millions, and you do nothing to help those millions of refugees with EHS, you are guilty of both doing harm and doing nothing to help.

True ‘Elders’ would have made sure that people with EHS would first have a place to live without radiation before using their cell phones and harming them further. True elders would have told you that first and foremost, you need to ‘live by example’ which you obviously don’t! At least you should follow ‘Don't do to others what you don't want others do to you’, but even this most basic ancient principle, you do not keep!

4G cell network to be deployed by Pelephone

Pelephone (one of the 3 main Israeli cellphone companies) has updated the public today on the lunch of it's 4'th generation cellphone network. At first it will sell 4G wirless/cell modems to costumers.
This move will mean more antennas and an increase of the public personal exposure to RF radiation.

EMR awareness lessons in Israeli elementary schools

A special constructed EMR awareness program was launched last week in the elementary school of the city/town of shoham Israel. The below program looks great, but the question is how it is possible to put WiFi in schools and at the same time to teach the pupils to be careful of radiation. The problem is also as reading Samuel Epstein taught me (he refers to cancer specifically, this is a different case but same principle)- - exposing pupils and at the same time telling them they need to change their habits, is an attitude of blaming the victims.

The Israeli ministry of education is going to limit the use of cell phones in schools. The ministry will not entirely follow the European assembly resolution from 05/2011 that called to band cellphone use in schools. The ministry seems to partialy adopt the European Parliament resolution from 2009 (which is less stricked). The ministry of education will enforce the new resolutions that are aimed in limiting the young students exposure (both in level perspective and time perspective). From tomorrow, student will be able to talk on their cell phones only from special locations within the school area and the use of cell phones will be band during lessons. In addition the students will attend lessons about "wise" cellphone use.

Dr. Stelian Galberg, in charge of radiation issue in the env ministry: distance of 2 cm of the cell phone from the ear- reduces radiation to zero.

Knesset member Yulia Shmalov Berkovitz will file a bill on warning of the radiation emitted from the phone in every given minute, info on radiation from different devices and radiation levels in different areas in Israel.

The WHO (http://www.who.int/en/) and IARC (http://www.iarc.fr/)resolution from last week about RF radiation being "POSSIBLY CARCINOGENIC TO HUMANS" is a, "Too little, (almost) too late" conclusion. All the science is available for many years now, and a more drastic conclusion should have been accepted years ago. It seems like the conditions for such a soft decision have lately become right as the science pointing out for risk and harm caused by "low power" RF signals like those that are emitted from cellphones, WIFI routers and other wireless devices and equipment, have piled up, and can no longer be rejected or ignored. The WHO and IARC have came under pressure by reality, and they could no longer hold their old view that there is no risk in exposure to RF radiation. The WHO and IARC holdup of their old views, until few days ago, allowed the deployment of wireless networks around the world, while exposing billions of people to this harming RF radiation. Millions of people have been hurt and millions more will be hurt because of this delay, and on the other hand the delay allowed wireless and Cellphone suppliers, manufacturers and distributors to continue, for years, to push back criticism about the safety of their products and services. The resolution was based on the results of the interphone study (The intephone study that was finished in 2004 and which results were published after more than 5 years of delay in 2010 and which are consider to be a low assessment and show 40% increased risk to people who used the mobile phone for more than 27 minutes per day), 2 additional new studies that were just published and which are part of the interphone study () , several studies that were done by prof. Lennart Hardell, and a study that was done by Yael Stein and Elihu Richter from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Medicine in Jerusalem (). All of these research showed a link between exposure to RF radiation and cancer.

In the next few years cellphone companies, manufacturers and distributors, backed up by paid science will try to buy more time on the expense of our health. They will argue that "cell phones today emit less RF radiation that they used to, and that new generations of cell phones will emit even less". They will try to discredit the science that shows the link between RF radiation and cancer, and will try to prove otherwise. They will do anything in their power to stop new laws and regulations that could protect the public and will then say that they act within laws and regulation. They will try to buy their way into committees and decision making boards and will try to influence the future, all so they can make an extra dollar before the public will understand the truth. We must do our best to show the truth and to prevent this from happening.
